In 2010, terms like innovation, social, community and networks were becoming the pillars of the modern business landscape. These words represented a recognition that the world was operating in new, collaborative ways. Because technology amplifies the rate of such change, leaders from all sectors are now fundamentally rethinking how they do business.
All the while, a small group had been actively working with these leaders, helping to combine the social networking revolution with the growth of their businesses models. Each of us, working hands-on with innovation and networks at organizations including the Omidyar Network, Ashoka’s Changemakers, Nike, Meredith Publishing and others. In addition to our work, we were united by a passion to see organizations be more successful in this brave new world and, by doing so, unleash our society’s collective potential.
With that passion in mind, we launched Context Partners, a strategy and management consulting firm that helps clients identify their target audiences, engage them as a community, and design business models to deliver real and lasting value. Our work to date represents a diverse set of clients, all connected by the need to develop more integrated relationships with their day-to-day employees, customers and partners.
The past year has gone by quickly and, to no surprise, we’ve learned a lot. In the spirit of collaboration we’ve launched this blog to share our learning with our community and hope continue to learn even more through the exchanges with our readers. We welcome you into our community and look forward to your feedback, ideas and contributions.
